Invent - To develop better and more reliable organic devices, imec examines how organic molecules grow and how they transport and trap charges.

Achieve - In 2007, imec proved that organic diodes can work at ultrahigh frequencies, the communication frequency for RFID tags. Imec also developed a novel organic light-emitting diode (OLED) that allows reducing the optical absorption when the device is used in a waveguide structure.
