How to reach imec Belgium

BY CAR, COMING FROM E314 (INCLUDING BRUSSELS & BRUSSELS AIRPORT)

  • Take the E40 direction Luik (Liège) - Keulen
  • After about 20 kilometers, change to the E314 (A2) Leuven - Genk - Hasselt
  • After about 250 meters, take the exit 15 Leuven & follow the directions “for imec 1” or “for imec tower” below

FOR IMEC 1

  • Follow the Koning Boudewijnlaan (N264) until the 4th traffic lights. Turn right into the Celestijnenlaan
  • WARNING: Your GPS may direct you to turn right at the first traffic lights (Sint-Jansbergsesteenweg). This is wrong. Drive on to the 4th traffic lights.
  • Follow the Celestijnenlaan until you reach the 2nd road on the right (after about 250 meters). This is imec’s Kapeldreef. The visitor’s parking and central entrance are on the right.

FOR IMEC TOWER (as from June 12th, 2015)

  • Follow the Koning Boudewijnlaan (N264) and turn right at the 2nd traffic lights, onto Wetenschapspark Arenberg.
  • At the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit for the Gaston Geenslaan.
  • Drive to the next roundabout. Take the second exit to access imec’s underground parking, where you can park on the -1 level.

BY CAR, COMING FROM LEUVEN CITY CENTRE

FOR IMEC 1

  • At Tervuursevest (N3/R23), take the Koning Boudewijnlaan (N264).
  • At the 1st traffic lights turn left into the Celestijnenlaan.
  • Follow the Celestijnenlaan until you reach the 2nd road on the right (after about 250 meters). This is imec’s Kapeldreef. The visitor’s parking and central entrance are on the right.

FOR IMEC TOWER (as from June 12th, 2015)

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

BY TRAIN

  • Leuven is a stop on the international railroad London (UK) - Brussels - Liège - Köln (Germany).
  • Coming from any other line, you can change at Brussels' North, Central, or Midi stations, where there is a train to Leuven every 30 minutes.
  • Brussels International Airport has its own railway station located in the airport building. You can take a direct train from the airport to Leuven.
  • From the station, you can take a bus to imec (see below)

BY BUS


  • From Leuven station or downtown Leuven, bus 2 (Campus) will bring you to the Kapeldreef in Heverlee (terminus). The bus stop is situated just opposite the imec 1 building. From there you can easily walk to imec tower   Click HERE for a detailed map.
